Back or neck pain getting in the way? Start with an examination and a conversation with Dr. JC about your options. Call to check same-day openings.
Need an appointment today? Call (636) 393-8390 to confirm an opening before coming in.

Tell Dr. JC where it hurts, when it started, and what you want to get back to doing. Bring information about medications, previous injuries, and any relevant imaging or treatment. The examination helps determine whether chiropractic care, another approach, or a referral is appropriate.
If an adjustment is recommended, you will discuss the technique, possible benefits and risks, alternatives, and cost before deciding. You can decline a technique or ask to stop. An appointment does not commit you to a package or ongoing treatment.
Dr. JC selects an approach based on the examination, your health history, and your preferences. Tell him if you are nervous about an adjustment or prefer to avoid a particular technique.
Spinal manipulation may provide modest improvements in pain and function for some people with low back pain. Evidence for neck pain and certain headaches varies. It is not a guarantee that a disc or nerve problem will resolve.
We focus on practical goals: sitting through work, walking more comfortably, or returning to an activity you enjoy. Exercise, activity changes, soft-tissue care, or referral may be part of the discussion.
Temporary soreness can occur after manipulation. Rare serious complications have been reported, including vascular complications associated with neck manipulation. Discuss the proposed technique, its risks, and alternatives before treatment.
Tell Dr. JC about recent trauma, osteoporosis, surgery, cancer, blood-thinning medication, or new neurological symptoms. New bladder or bowel changes, groin numbness, rapidly worsening weakness, or possible stroke symptoms need urgent medical assessment, not a routine chiropractic appointment.
Follow the activity advice agreed at your visit and contact the office about unexpected or worsening symptoms. Follow-up depends on your progress and goals; there is no set number of adjustments everyone needs.
Same-day appointments are often available, but please call (636) 393-8390 before coming in. Online requests cover selected afternoon times Monday through Thursday. Call for morning or Friday appointments. The office must confirm your requested time.
Allow about 45 to 60 minutes for your first chiropractic visit. Dr. JC reviews your history, performs an examination, and discusses the findings. Treatment may be offered when appropriate; it is not guaranteed or required at the first visit.
The cost depends on the examination, services recommended, and any applicable insurance benefits. Call for a current self-pay estimate or a plan-specific benefits check before your visit. Ask what is included and whether any additional services have a separate charge.
Yes. Self-pay care is available. You do not have to join a wellness plan to request an examination. Discuss the proposed care and fees with the office before deciding.
No. Tell Dr. JC about any concerns or techniques you prefer to avoid. You can discuss non-thrust options, other care, or referral as appropriate and decline a proposed treatment.
